Chapter 7
The car came to a stop in front of an upscale private club.
“Please follow me,” the driver said as he exited the car, opened the door for Carolina, and then led her inside.
They arrived in front of a room, and the driver opened the door. Carolina stood at the doorway, seeing a woman and three men inside the room, all exuding an otherworldly air.
Red sat in the middle, intending to drink with the man beside him. However, upon spotting Carolina, he immediately put down his glass of wine, his slender index finger gesturing toward her.
Confronted with the sharp gazes in the room, Carolina felt uneasy. The people seated inside the room didn’t seem ordinary.
“Come here,” his eyes glimmered in the darkness, his voice losing a hint of patience.
Carolina approached, and the man beside Red quickly shifted to a space on the sofa.
Just as she was about to sit down, Red’s cold voice rang out, “Did I tell you to sit?”
