A melancholy tune played on a piano from inside the room filled with sunlight.
Shayna stood by the door, leaning against the wall, listening to Carlos playing. Ever since Carolina had left, he had been frantically making phone calls to search for her, but he still couldn’t find her.
Carlos had a public identity as a musician but also a secret identity. He and the TG organization collaborated to establish a company, with the main purpose of reclaiming everything he rightfully deserved.
Under the sun, his smile was still melancholy. Since Carolina had left, he had grown despondent, his beard growing haphazardly along his chin.
Shayna’s heart ached as she looked at him in this state. The Carlos who used to laugh and smile now appeared lonely, with eyes reddened from crying and a pale complexion. Nothing seemed to matter to him at this moment, and he spent his days and nights in this room with his piano.
