“Stephen, Stephen…” She whispered.

She didn’t know how much of the drug had been administered, but they fought through the night. Stephen could still feel the effects of the drug in Liliana’s body, but she had already passed out.

As the morning broke, Stephen lay down. He held Liliana in his arms, and they both fell asleep.
