Chapter 12. Geneva

“Gina, you’ve returned?” Laura was monitoring the maids who are busy cutting the lawns and she called out when she saw Evangeline.

“Yeah,” Evangeline gave a perfunctory reply.

“Oh, Myra has been discharged and she is currently resting in your new apartment. Also, your working arrangement has been made, you will be sweeping the large tree behind the princess’s manor,” Laura explained with a smile on her chubby face, causing her eyes to be almost hidden as the flesh was squinted.

“Okay, but can you take me to my apartment then?” Evangeline requested, after all, she didn’t know where the so-called room was and she wasn’t in the mood to be looking around for a room.

“Sure.” Laura nodded and turns to the maids working and said rather sternly. “Finish quickly or say bye to your dinner, lazy asses.” After that, she led the way for Evangeline.

“Oh, who is that girl? She looks gorgeous,” one of the maids asked curiously after making sure that the two were gone.<
