Chapter 4. She Is a Maid

“Gina, Gina, Gina!!!” Amanda shook her best friend continuously even though she felt a little bad for waking her up this early since she wasn’t feeling well since yesterday.

“Please let me sleep for a minute, just one minute please,” Evangeline muttered as she turn around in her sleep.

She was only able to sleep when it was almost dawn and it hasn’t been an hour yet before she was now been forced to wake up.

“No more Gina, the head maid would soon arrive.”

After a while, Evangeline opened her eyes, and helping her out of the bed, Amanda pushed her out to the direction of the bathroom and stop when they reach the door.

“The water would soon be used and finished by those from the kitchen, it is better for you to take a bath now, or else, you have to wait till next tomorrow.”

“Another problem,” Evangeline muttered, rubbing her eyes as she enter the bathroom and take a quick bath, then she came out shivering later.

The water was very cold and coupled with the fact that they are in winter now, one could imagine how chilling that would be for an ordinary werewolf like her.

She couldn’t help but shook her head remembering her past again, she took a warm bath, warm food, and warm dress during winter and cold food, cold bath, and light dress during summer but now…

After changing into the maid’s attire which was a blue dress that reached the calves with a black belt, the dress also showed off some cleavage, Evangeline got curious about her new looks that she hadn’t had the chance to look at, thus, she walked towards the large mirror in her room.

Looking at herself, she couldn’t help but smile. The moon goddess was really kind, not only did she give her another identity, she even gave her an attractive face that didn’t lose to the one when she was still Moira. An attractive face that could make many people’s jaw drop and make her enemies drop their weapons.

Evangeline was tall and slim, her little curve was still growing but she seems to be extremely blessed in the chest area. She had long silver hair that reached her waist, and a pair of soulful emerald eyes, even greener than the one she has in her past life which was framed by her dense eyelashes, all under her delicate eyebrows. And under her cute button nose was a pair of red plump lips.

Not a single part of her was filled with imperfection.

“Gina! What the hell are you looking at in the mirror?! For goodness sake, we are late already! The head maid would definitely punish us if she were to see a single leaf under the tree.” Amanda took her hand and handed her a broom as she drags her out and took her to the back of their building, where there were currently two girls sweeping around the huge tree whose height was over 100 and with a diameter of 5 meters.

“So we are going to sweep here, but shouldn’t we at least eat first? I don’t think I could do this on an empty stomach.” Evangeline frowned.

“Why are you acting as if you’re new here? If we don’t sweep this place clean till no single leaf was seen in the next two hours, we are going to get punished! And I don’t want any trouble for myself,” one of the girls sweeping said, glaring at Evangeline.

“Don’t mind her,” Amanda whispered as everyone started sweeping their section under the huge tree.

It was a little bit awkward for Evangeline to sweep, after all, she has never tried this before in her past life, and after a while, she get it right.

But in the end, she was the last to finish sweeping and Amanda even has to help her out.

Sweats dripping down her forehead, for the first time, Evangeline realize that it wasn’t easy at all, her back was aching and her stomach was empty, her legs nearly gave off their strength and if not for the bit of endurance she squeeze out, she would have definitely fallen.

“What is wrong with you today? Can you even stand?” Amanda asked worriedly as she took both their brooms.

“I am fine but I need to eat right now.” Evangeline used her hand to support her knees.

“It must be because of the fever yesterday that you are feeling weak, go to the cafeteria before me then.” Amanda patted her shoulder.

Evangeline nodded as she manages to arrive at the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was the place where the lowly blood like Omega maidservants and guards used to eat.

Many maids were greedily scooping the rice into their mouth and Evangeline found her mouth getting wet already.

Sighing to herself, she gets in line and couldn’t help but find it impressive that Alpha King Damien’s origin pack could be this big.

According to the number of maids there, there are at least over 200 of them, and that is only in this block.

Even her former’s pack Omegas were only about 100.

Soon it was her turn and she flashed the guard serving the meal a smile, the man’s ear turn red as he help her add another half of a spoon.

‘Wow, so I can earn more food as long as I smile? That’s pretty good,’ Evangeline thought as she walked to one of the empty tables and took a seat.

She was halfway through the meal when Amanda joined her and just as they were about to finish their meals, four guards suddenly entered the cafeteria.

It became deadly silent for a moment before everyone stood up and bow slightly.

The person leading the four guards was one of Alpha King Damien’s betas, and his name was Austin.

Austin’s eyes roamed around the originally crowdy cafeteria that was as quiet as a graveyard right now, even the sound of a pin drop could be heard before his husky voice rang out.
