Chapter 52. Confrontation and Reunion
The tear from Evangeline’s eyes wasn’t a tear of pain or sorrow, but the kind of tear you shed when you laugh so hard after watching a funny scene in your favorite movie.
Evangeline glanced at the dumbstruck girls and, combing the strand of her silver hair backward, she asked curiously.
“Why did you guys borrow your brains from mosquitoes?”
“What?”
The girls blinked, not understanding what she meant, but Easter could understand very well, and she glanced at Evangeline in disbelief as she pointed at herself.
“Are you saying that our brains are as low as those of mosquitoes?”
Evangeline truthfully shook her head, and just as the girls, who now understood what she meant, were about to heave a sigh of relief, they heard her say.
“Your brains are even lower than mosquitoes, and with its pitiful amount, they were only able to make you search for a mosquito instead and took its brain.”
