Book 3: Forgiven Him
Anacá's POV
Eros reached me and dropped to his knees before I could realize his intentions. A gasp of surprise escaped my lips. What would he do now? “Please forgive me, Anacá.” He hung his head with tears in his eyes. My heart melted, and I forgave him totally. This time, it was heartfelt, and I felt overwhelmed by the depth of his repentance.
I leaned to his level and helped him to his feet. “I have forgiven you, Eros. Please don’t cry.”
He gave me a dazed look, his eyes unfocused. Was he even listening to me? Didn’t he hear me?
“Please forgive me, Anacá,” he repeated deliriously as I helped him to the bed.
“I have forgiven you, Eros.” He hardly acknowledged me and tumbled onto the bed, his eyes hooded and closing.
I opened his shoes and unbuckled the belt before he dozed off. “Anacá, don’t leave me.”
