Eros's POV

My head reeled from the shocking news! “Dad is here fighting for his life, and you didn’t consider it necessary to inform me?” I looked at them with disappointment. Their behavior hurt me more than Silas’ misdeeds. Now I realized why they were here.

“You were battling for your life, Eros. How could we tell you?” said Zion, looking upset.

“I know we should have. You should know about your parent,” said Knox.

“But we were scared, Eros. We thought you would sink into a coma, too,” said Maddox, hanging his head with guilt.

“Please take me to him, Zion. Maybe he’ll respond to me.”

Zion looked flustered. “Your doctor won’t permit you to move, Eros. Still, I’ll check up with him.” He left the room while they updated me about Dad’s condition. 

“He hasn’t responded at all since he has slipped into a coma. The doctors have tried everything,” said Knox.
