Book 5: Only You

Iris blinked at his direct question. Wasn’t it obvious? “Only you can make me happy. I just need your company.” She had no idea where she had found the courage to look directly into his eyes and admit the truth.

Speaking the words in her heart, here in the bright daylight in front of him, sent a flush to her cheeks. Who was this desperate Iris?

Maddox cocked an eyebrow in disbelief, his gaze dropping to her luscious, full lips. His heart raced like lightning. This was what he had been waiting to hear. “So what do you want to do with me?” he prodded, waiting to hear her say it aloud.

“Everything – going out with you, enjoying a cozy movie with you, pouring our hearts out to one another, long moonlit walks, candlelight dinners. I’m sure you’ve got the idea.” She blushed profusely, unable to continue.

Maddox shook his head, gazing at her. “No, I haven’t. Is that all you want with me?”

Iris blushed, realizing where this was going. “No, I want more.” She tore her g
