“You? Why are you here, Mr. Cromwell?” gritted out Loretta. Did Dominic send him to spy on her since he was too busy to attend his cousin’s wedding?

Knox seethed at the sight of her. Despite his threats, she was here, ready to celebrate her best friend’s engagement.

“I’m here to stop the engagement. Why else?” Loretta’s jaws dropped with shock. What would he gain by breaking off Carter’s engagement? Was Carter his enemy, too?
