Book 1: Won’t Let Go

Danielle’s heart ached to see the disappointed look on her daughter’s face. After her admission last evening, Danielle had been extremely annoyed with her for talking to Knox without her permission.

Later, she realized it wasn’t Angel’s fault at all. It was natural to want to meet her father. Grandpa Vincent had just helped his great-granddaughter because he cared. So she couldn’t hold a grudge against anyone.

Ever since, she waited for Knox every minute, although she knew he couldn’t come over soon. Angel, however, expected Zane to come over too, but Danielle had her doubts. If he came at all, it would only be with Knox.

“Mom, why didn’t they come over to meet us? Don’t they know we’re leaving today?”

“Maybe your dad couldn’t return.” Angel sulked all the time as they got ready to attend the reception organized by Granny Emma’s friends at Loretta’s house. Danielle and Angel planned to stay an hour before returning to pack up.
