Danielle was sure everyone could hear her heart hammer in her ribcage. His presence had caught them unawares. There was a bout of silence as Angel too gaped at the man who came in.

Danielle slowly turned to look at the man she loved. It had been so long since she had seen him or heard his voice. Even after all these years, the sound of his voice took her breath away.
