Chapter 12

JASON

I watched as Cassandra lay on the bed after she asked me all the questions on her mind which I answered.

Ever since she came into my life I had felt an inexplicable feeling I had never felt for anyone apart from Emily. The urge to protect her and other feelings I couldn't explain.

Though I had tried my best not to show any of this it was a little impossible.

I looked around the room. Seeing there was nothing to do I closed my eyes and soon fell asleep.

I didn't know how long I had slept but the croaking of frogs woke me up. I knew it was already nighttime. I wondered if it was stress that made me sleep from daybreak to nighttime.

I yawned and stood up from where I sat. I had fell app sitting down. It had become quite a norm for me to sleep while sitting.

I glanced at Cassandra who was sleeping. There was a smile on her face and I guessed she must be having a very good dream for her to smile while asleep.
