CASSANDRA

I got into the cabin and closed the door behind me.

I glanced at Jason who was sitting at the far end of the cabin looking at me.

"Why didn't you spare any of the hunters? I asked. The shock was great and I couldn't resist asking him why he hadn't spared the hunters.

"Cause they didn't want to be spared," Jason replied.

I was shocked by his reply. What did he mean by they didn't want to be spared? No one would want to be killed right?

"I never intended to fight them. I had even hidden myself and my brother in the tree so they would leave. But then my brother who was too weak fell from the tree and then they tried to kill him," Jason said answering my question.

Though I hadn't asked him why he said that they didn't want to be spared the look in my eyes said everything.

He must love this brother of his very much. I was sure he must be very overprotective of his brother.
