Alpha Lucas's POV

"Let's go home," I said knowing fully well that we are taking too long at the medic.

"Alpha! I don't still know the reason behind your no," Stella pressed.

"I can't let everyone here be at the war front. Only the two of us is enough," I expressed, already getting tired of it all.

"Things don't work that way, Alpha! You know how I am good at investigations, I will be a great tool," she said.

I could see the hope on her face. I would have said a big fat no but her facial expression is making me reconsider.

"I don't want all of us to be involved in this case. I know you are good, but getting involved won't be making any sense," I said.

"I understand that you care, but you must also care about this boy. He can't handle the case alone neither can you. So, you have to embrace the third party influence," she said.

Her words were full of wisdom, I understand every part of it, but still I don't want to accept it.
