Chapter 10

Sophia's POV

As I continued working, my mind kept drifting back to the mysterious bouquet of black roses that had appeared on my doorstep last night. I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over me since then.

Just then, Mia and Jessica walked into the company, laughing and joking with each other. Mia had a piece of black rose in her hand, and my heart sank. It was clear that she was the one who had sent me the flowers.

I felt a mix of relief and anger wash over me. On one hand, it was good to know that the Black Bird Wolves weren't after me. But on the other hand, I couldn't believe that Mia would play such a cruel trick on me. I quickly finished up my work and headed to the restroom to talk to Miranda.
