Mia's POV

I was filled with a mix of shock and anger as Blake pushed me away, demanding that I find Miranda for him. His words stung, reminding me of the betrayal that had brought us to this point. But before I could respond, a sense of unease washed over me, drawing my attention to something outside.

Curiosity and caution led me to investigate, and as I peered through the window, my eyes widened in recognition. Lucas, the very person I had been searching for, sat inside a car, ready to drive away. Without hesitation, I jumped into my own vehicle and discreetly followed him from a distance, determined to uncover his motives.
