Chapter 101. Not the Same Anymore

Sean’s POV

Things were not the same between me and Iris after that day. I tried to explain to her that I had nothing to do with Angela but she didn’t believe me. I set out to get evidence that Anna, who Iris had picked for me was the person I had mated with but all to no avail.

“Where is Anna?” she asked, the same question that had been ringing in my mind. “It is very convenient, isn’t it?” she scoffed, “claiming you slept with Anna and not Angela when Anna is not here to say anything in her own defense. What did you and your mistress do to her?”

“Iris, I cannot believe that you see me this way,” I said. “Since you do not believe any word that I say, then there’s really no idea trying to convince you. I shall just have to get the evidence and clear my name.”
