Honestly, this mansion was intended for the parents of Gabriel Bailey.
They had suffered when Gabriel was imprisoned, and he had been like a beggar, but it was the elderly couple who sold everything and gave him all their money. They also arranged for him to join the military, hoping he could escape and not be harmed by his enemies.
Gabriel's inability to escape was enough for them. They didn't want anything to happen to him. He considered their help a gift of rebirth, as an orphan like him experienced a bit of warmth and love from the elderly couple.
He had rushed to find Isabella first and had not yet visited their residence.
