A large group of individuals sat in front of me. The cameras’ lights were flickering as the reporters were waiting for my response with flashing lights. Cameras roll around their shoulders.
I stood in front of the podium, fists clenched, attempting to maintain my cool.
As I contemplated what to say in response to a series of questions, cold perspiration filled my entire body. My fingers fidgeted behind the array of microphones.
As I looked at the crowd in front of me, I clamped my lips together and swallowed. I inhaled deeply and sighed, nodding. “Yes. Right now, I’m in a relationship with a man. Is that to say I’m a bad person?”
While the other reporters entered the sentences on their laptops, everyone gasped and turned their heads to the seat next to them. What I stated will almost certainly make the news.
