Chapter 56

 Rey breathed deeply, his body still blazing with fire, but he knew better than to let his anger take control of his body.

Anger is a demon! He always tells himself that. If he allowed the vengeance he was feeling for Kyle to take control of his body, he would lose everything he had been building.

He faced Faith, “I'll come back for you,” he promised her. She whimpered, tears falling from her eyes and rolling down her cheek. “I had to go now. I wish I'd never leave you behind, but there's nothing else I can do.”

Faith nodded to show that she understands what Rey is doing. 

Surprisingly, Rey felt connected to her. “Go, my love. I'll wait for you.” Rey could hear her thoughts in his head. He looked at her, giving her a look of hope, before returning his gaze to Kyle and the dozens of men behind him.
