Richard’s POV

I took one more look in the mirror before I decided to head out. A lot indeed had happened in just twenty-four hours.

Who would have thought that we were going to have a baby on Christmas?

How wonderful! I was really trying so hard to think straight, like we didn’t just deliver a baby that belonged to an accomplice to our enemy.

I straightened my suit one more time and took the mental note to pray that things went as planned.

“Lord, please take control before I lose my mind. Amen!” I dashed out the door and headed for Reagan’s room.

I knocked lightly on her door, and in no time the door swung open.

Seeing her, I had to thank God again for bringing her my way.

“Did you hear that? My heart just leaped at the sight of you!” I expressed, seeing her in her theme dress.

How can someone be so perfect?

“You tease me a lot, and I love it!” she replied, smiling with her beautiful set of teeth and winking at me.
