Chapter 28
His vision blurred, and Mike was sure his eyes had begun changing to a colour that was going to be irreversible for at least half an hour.
But he also didn’t try to stop it, or to blink back a few times against the light.
Most likely no one would notice the change, but right now, he couldn’t care less. He’d already imagined killing everyone in here, actually doing it was beginning to look more and more like a normal, acceptable perspective.
Someone had hit Killian.
Someone had gotten That close to him to scratch her face and Mike was going to kill them, whoever it was.
“Mike, I am going to go get some drinks. Are you coming, or I can just
t get something for you?”
Dillan was still speaking, the music was going and everything was supposed to be normal.
But Mike could see one single thing- the evidence that someone had hit Killian.
