Mike was furious.
He’d never been so unable to deal with his own emotions before. Mike had grown up in a family of men who had been taught that control is everything. And he had learned how to deal with situations, where you had enough strength to kill whoever you wanted to, knowing you would get away with it and not do it.
That was the real strength. His father had been saying when Mike was growing up, knowing you were the stronger one and not taking advantage of it.
It wasn’t only because of the size of all the wolves in his family - Mike’s wolf was bigger than most, not that he had had many encounters with werewolves, working for the government or the Bureau but he could very well tell that big size was something that ran in the family.
They were also alphas.
And as such, control was occasionally very easy to slip away from between their fingers.
