Chapter 138

Nathan was stunned as he saw Madison lying unconscious on the bed.

“Maddie! Maddie!” Nathan shouted as he tried to revive her by a pat to the face but it was all futile as he could do nothing but push her face from left to right and back.

“Babe!” Nathan raised the alarm unknowingly because of how scary it looked. She carried Madison in his arms and hurried down the stairs.

“What’s going on?” Lila came out to ask, then she saw Nathan speeding away with an unconscious Madison in his arms.

“What happened?” Lila asked in a more serious tone as she went along with Nathan to the car outside.

It was Lila’s scream and high pitched voice that awoke the entire house, including the kids. She didn’t mean to, she could not hold in the panic that she felt.

“Shh! You’ll wake the kids!” Nathan had said to Lila after she screamed out her question but she would not listen nor calm down.
