Chapter 159
The siren of both ambulances and police cars filled the atmosphere. Nathan’s car was about to blow up; he lay inside, unconscious.
Harper stood at a distance, laughing menacingly as he watched with excitement in expectation of what was going to happen next.
“Enough with the suspense already, just go off and let me have the last laugh.” Harper said as he watched the firemen and other qualified personnels at the site try to rescue Nathan.
The car was slipping further down the edge of the bridge and it seemed like it could fall in at any moment from then.
“I have him! I have him!” one of the officers at the scene screamed. They had to pull Nathan out before his car fell into the river or before the car was inflamed.
“Pull! Pull!” The efforts of the men could be heard and seen by Harper at a building top.
Nathan was already unconscious and this made it most difficult to get him out of the vehicle.
