Chapter 29
“What’s the matter, Sia?” Madison asked impatiently immediately after they got into Sia’s office. Sia burst out in unrestricted laughter, even almost choking to death as she laughed hard without any form of control.
“Here’s some water,” Madison said as she handed Sia a bottle of water when she couldn’t stop coughing.
“Thanks, ma’am,” Sia said, still coughing and, of course, laughing.
“What did you say you wanted me to see again?” Madison asked after Sia was calm, though her eyes were still reddish.
Sia was still laughing but not as loud and energetic as she was at first. “Forgive me, ma’am, please, I beg you.” Then she began laughing as much as she did before.
“Forgive you for what?” Madison looked very confused. “What did you do wrong?”
Sia couldn’t just catch her breath. She almost laughed herself unconscious.
“There is really nothing you need, you see,” she burst out laughing again.
“What?” Madison asked with a smile on her face.
