Chapter 36

Madison had an uneasy feeling of someone creeping up on her as she walked from the restroom to the party hall. With every single stop she took, she felt someone stop too, and hide away. Madison rubbed her forehead gently, and she wasn’t able to shake off the instinctive feeling that she was being followed.

“This lack of sleep is really telling on me.” Madison thought she felt that way because she hadn’t had enough sleep for the past few days. Truth be told, some sleep could also have done her a lot of good.

But this was more than just a lack of sleep effect. Madison was almost sure that someone was behind her, moving when she did and stopping when she did, too.

“Is anyone there?” Her voice echoed through the silent hallway. She looked around with eyes pervaded with fear, and silence was her only response.

“This isn’t funny!” Madison said with a louder tone but still had silence as her response.

Just then, he saw something move, or maybe someone.
