Chapter 31

Nathan tilted his head to the right as he regained his consciousness, letting out a soft groan. His vision was still not fully restored or clear enough, but he could see the facial curves of a beautiful woman.

“You are awake, Nathan. " She sounded so excited and a bit relieved. She let out a loud sigh before running outside to call the doctor.

During this time, his vision was fully restored. He blinked several times. He had been out for a while and needed a few of those to get used to the brightness of consciousness and the room.

It was Madison Harper who walked in through those doors with the doctor.

“You’ll have to step back a bit for me to examine him,” the doctor said to Madison after realizing her overexcitement had caused her to enclose a little too much of her working space.

“I’m sorry,” Madison apologized and stepped aside.

“What’s your name? What can you remember? How many fingers do you see? Do you still feel dizzy? Do you feel feverish?
