Chapter 34

Nathan’s stomach growled embarrassingly as he sat at the dining table, waiting for Madison to serve him his meal. Of course, he’d be tired after those successive double actions he carried out—in the bedroom and in the bathroom.

“I told you not to go for a second round, but you refused,” Madison said to Nathan as she served part of the dish. Her statement was also prompted by noticing Nathan’s rumbling stomach.

Nathan wasn’t even concerned about his stomach. He wasn’t even aware of the rumbling sound his stomach was making. Nathan was lost in thought, thinking solely about the mysterious texter.

“Should I tell her?” he questioned his inner self. Maybe there were more hidden truths Nathan didn’t want Madison to discover, or maybe he just did not want to bother her. Either way, Nathan was not going to say a word to Madison.

“Are you okay, Nathan?” Madison asked but received no answer.

She snapped her fingers in Nathan’s face. “Where are you?”
