Chapter 73

Madison was reliving old memories in the coffee shop. She served side by side with Lila and enjoyed every moment of it. She had taken a one-week break from work just to do this.

“Hey, Maddie!” Jonathan called out to her from behind.

“Jonathan,” Madison was excited to see him. “How have you been?” she asked as she embraced him.

“I didn’t think you’d be serving with us here today,” Madison said after watching Jonathan put on the coffee shop’s apron.

“Lila informed me that you’d be serving here today so I decided to take a break from my job and assist you here like old times,” Jonathan said as he took his place behind the desk beside Madison.

“You do not have to be a whistleblower, Jonathan,” Lila said after he exposed her to Madison.
