Chapter 80
Sia stood alone in a brightly colored, yet desolate lane behind the Westbrook Lovers’ Park. Sia paced back and forth as she anticipated that Madison would turn up soon.
She would constantly check her watch to know the time. It was still around 7:00 in the morning, quite early.
“She told me she’d be here on time,” Sia lamented as she waited patiently for Madison. She felt the need to call Madison but then it occurred to her that Lila may be somewhere close to the phone or to Madison. She didn’t want to invite problems for herself.
A car pulled over right in front of Sia.
“I don’t have anything on me I promise, you can take my bag and my phone.” Sia panicked when she saw two armed men inside the car aiming their guns at her and their fingers were readily placed on the trigger, ready to shoot if she attempted anything funny.
“Come here!” The cold voice from one of the men, the one seated behind the driver, ordered Sia.
