Chapter 75

Jonathan’s mind swelled as he heard Lila say his name. He was about to sneak out from the back door of the coffee shop when Lila’s voice put him at a halt.

“Jonathan,” she called him again after he stood there, silent.

“Lila,” he turned with the most cheerful smile ever on his face.

“Are you leaving?” Lila asked him.

“Yes,” Jonathan replied.

“Why is that?” she inquired to know.

“I don’t feel too well,” Jonathan hissed a sigh as he said. He wanted to make it real as it could be.

His heart must have sunk when he heard Lila say:

“Liar!” And with a confusing suspicious haze at him.

“What?” he asked. He wasn’t sure if he had been caught or not. He just needed to play it nice.

“I said you are a liar!” Lila spoke with a haze in her voice.
