Chapter 91
Lila froze by the door of the coffee shop. She didn’t move a bit, she didn’t even blink her eyes.
“A tape?” Madison asked with a bewildered face.
“Yes, a tape.” The delivery man was already holding out the parcel to Madison.
“Who is it from?” Madison asked.
“I don’t really know ma’am.”
Lila’s ears widened but not as much as her disturbed eyes.
“You are Madison Westbrook, right?” he asked her.
“Yes, yes I am.” Madison stammered, she was thinking about why a tape would be sent to her.
“Sign here!”
The man on the delivery bike handed over a pen and booklet to Madison on which she penned down her signature on the place designated for it.
“Here you go,” the bike man handed over the parcel to Madison and rode away.
“I think that could belong to me,” Lila said to Madison. She rushed up to her immediately after the delivery man left.
“Why?” Madison asked Lila. “Did you order anything?”
