Vera and Lila’s expectations rose when Tina finally agreed to give them a name—the name of the person she works for.
“Good girl,” Henry lowered his gun.
Tina was trembling and she was excessively sweaty. “I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you please.”
Tina kept saying with her eyes shut. She couldn’t even bear to look at the gun or glance at Henry’s face.
“Tell me!” Henry screamed at her.
Tina didn’t even know that Henry had already withdrawn his gun from her face.
“Look how scared she is of dying,” Lila mocked her to the amusement of Vera.
“She’s just like a scared little kitten who has lost its way,” Vera carried on with the mockery.
“Enough from the both of you!” Henry chided Vera and Lila. He meant business and would not condone anything outside it.
“So tell me who is giving you the orders to do what you did?” Henry came so close to Tina. She could feel his warm breath on her face.
