“Good morning!” She beamed.

“Good morning dear.” Lucas hugged her before handing her the bouquet of roses he had brought. Lucy thanked him and invited him in.

They went to join her parents in the dining room and all of them ended up talking like a big happy family. Cage heard them from his room but didn't bother to come out to avoid hearing more hurtful insults thrown at him.

“Where is your bathroom please?” Lucas asked halfway through the breakfast.

“Upstairs, second room by your right.” Mrs Richards pointed out.

Lucas excused himself and left the dining room. He went upstairs, used the bathroom, and on coming out from the bathroom, he ran into Cage. They both exchanged glares before Lucas decided to speak.
