Chapter 248

Mira pulled out two paddles. She could definitely use his help. She needed to get to their destination before Noon. 

She handed one paddle to Cage. He paddled as he could while Mira took over the other end.

Cage could see they where approaching land.

“Not long now, we'd arrive. I have someone waiting to pick us up” Mira said.

Cage nodded as his hands hurt but he hid his pain. He didn't want Mira to paddle alone.

Minutes later they got to the shores 

Mira jumped into the water as she pushed the boat towards the land.

“You are late!” A man said as he approached them.

The sun was fully out as Cage turned around to see whom was speaking. He dropped his jaw in astonishment at the familiar face.

The next morning for Lucy was smooth and simple. She joined her family at the table as her gaze met Ash’s eyes. She smirked as she proceeded to eat. Ash remembering the events of the night earlier panicked profusely. Her heart skipped
