Chapter 238

“Cool man. You’re dressed for the occasion.” He says as he hands me one of the company’s fancy pens.

I try to arrange the paperwork, so they don’t look so carelessly placed on the desk.

“What occasion?” I ask without looking at him. There’s so much paper.

“Today is Iris's Birthday.” He says.

“Really?” I ask.

“Yeah, it is.” He smiles widely.

“You know what I think?” He asks.

“No, I don’t, but it would be nice if you could help me with this paperwork,” I suggest to him and he chuckles.

“Don’t worry about it, Iris made sure of that.” He says. “She cleared my entire schedule for today so I can help you out.” He explains.

Well, that’s nice of her.

“I think Iris likes you.” He says and I snort out a laugh.

“Yeah, right,” I say sarcastically.

The only thing she likes is the company.

“No, for real.” He says as he sits down on a chair in front of my desk. There are two places there, and both of them ar
