Colt’s POV

I woke up feeling refreshed and energetic, yet confused by my surroundings.

I scanned the room, noticing it wasn’t mine, and took a whiff of my surroundings.

The once-intoxicating scent of caramel still lingers in the room, but it is already hours old.

This was Kate’s room!

Where was she, and how the hell did I end up here?

How long was I asleep?

And what made me so exhausted?

My mind was blank; I had no answers to my questions. Yet a nagging feeling crept up in the back of my mind that I already knew the answers to all my questions. It was just out of my reach; they were lost in my dreams.

What was I forgetting?

What was so important?

Why did I feel, deep down, so happy and excited?

Why can’t I think straight?

I sighed, shifted my legs off the bed, and grabbed my shirt.

I had better find out where my brothers have gone.
