Colt’s POV

“You can’t be serious!” Grey lashed out, his voice like a whip cracking through the infirmary. His fists clenched at his sides, trembling with restrained fury. “Who gave you permission to decide for all three of us?”

“Seriously?” Sam growled, his tone edged with frustration. He raked a hand through his dark hair and took a step forward. “Do you have any idea what it would do to her if even one of us rejected her? Think for a second, Grey—just think about her!”

Grey flinched as though Sam had struck him, his anger faltering. His jaw worked, and for a moment the fight drained from his face, leaving only raw uncertainty.

“Has either of you ever thought about that?” Sam demanded. His eyes swept between us, sharp and accusing. “We’ve shared everything before—even women. What makes Kate so different?”

Grey’s nostrils flared. He squared his shoulders, voice rising like a storm about to break. “Kate is not just any woman; she is my mate!”
