Chapter 40. Confused Emotions

Catherine’s POV

Thank the Goddess, there wasn’t anything physical wrong with the rogue. His wolf had healed him, which was a good thing—at least he still had a functioning wolf.

There was no sign of any bruising left, and the doctor confirmed that he had no broken bones when we brought him in.

“Hi,” I said as I looked the rogue up and down. “My name is Kate, and I am the Alpha’s daughter.”

He looked a bit startled as I introduced myself, and he shivered.

“Can you tell me who you are?” I asked.

The rogue shook his head.

“Can you remember where you came from?” I asked.

Yet again, he shook his head.

The doctor had taken me aside when I got to his room, and I demanded he tell me the truth.
