Chapter 24. A Woman Who Wants to Meet Harry
Alice didn’t know if her guess was right or not, but it successfully split her focus. The woman could not work properly; she sat in front of the lit laptop screen, her body frozen and her forehead wrinkled as if she were thinking about something that was so difficult for her. Alice was more silent and brooding than completing her tasks.
Alice chuckled in annoyance. “Why do I have to think about Mr. Harry’s girlfriend? So what if he has a girlfriend? It doesn’t have any effect on my life.” The woman tried to make a suggestion to herself.
Alice tried to refocus on her work, but she still couldn’t really do it well. She herself also didn’t understand what was really going on with her; she felt something strange in her heart, a restlessness that wasn’t clear what was causing it.
Two hours passed, and Alice was still glued to her laptop screen. The woman now looked more focused, though not exactly calm. She looked busy, looking very professional, even though others didn
