Chapter 26. Gossip

The two employees nodded in understanding, then left and returned to their workplaces. Alice was left alone, then she left the place and stepped towards the meeting room that had been scheduled yesterday. At least, even if Harry hadn’t arrived yet, Alice, as her boss’s secretary, should have arrived at the venue. It’s okay if Harry arrives a little late; after all, such events cannot be predicted in advance.

The atmosphere of the office went on as usual; even Angeline’s arrival, which caused a small commotion among the two receptionists, did not have any effect on the other employees. They were all busy with their respective jobs.

“You know, I have my suspicions about Mrs. Angeline. What exactly is the relationship between her and Mr. Harry? Aren’t you curious about that?” One of the receptionists asked the colleague beside her.

The woman being questioned shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know; it’s all a headache.”
