Chapter 95. Can’t Sleep

Alice frowned in confusion at the expression on Charlie’s face, who was also confused. It was only a few seconds later that she realized something.

Alice swallowed with a face that suddenly felt hot, between embarrassment and feeling very stupid. The woman hurriedly corrected her words.

“I mean…”

Alice cursed herself; she didn’t even know how to explain it. She spoke in a stammering tone. She felt so stupid for not thinking before she spoke.

“What do you mean?” Harry asked Alice to continue her sentence.

Alice smiled with her rows of white teeth showing. “Uh, I forgot. We can’t stay overnight because it’s a work day tomorrow. Sorry, sir.”

Harry looked at Alice fondly. The man then reached out to run his hand through Alice’s silky hair.

“Are you nervous?” he asked, even though he was also feeling the same feeling; it was just that he was good at covering up.

Alice looked up and looked into the man’s eyes. “Are you not nervous too, Sir?”
