Third Person's POV
Ian speeds down the road, determined to reach the hospital as quickly as possible. Anxious thoughts swirl through his mind, but he pushes them aside. He mulls over the possibility of not even facing his father, unsure of how to confront the man he blames for the hardships in his life.
Waiting for him at the hospital is his sister, Ashley Jane. She understands the weight of the situation and is concerned for her older brother's well-being. In an attempt to change his mind, she decides to return to their father's room and engage him in a conversation.
"No, Jane. My decision is final. I am doing this not just for the company, but for our family as well," Mr. Marquez asserts, his voice filled with conviction.
