At that moment, Jane had already departed for the hospital, leaving Ian and Bea alone together in the living room. Ian resumed his usual routine of playing video games all day, while Bea sat slouched in a chair beside him, quietly observing his gaming prowess.

Breaking the deafening silence that had settled between them, Ian spoke the first words. "Do you, by any chance, have a strong hate towards me for taking you away?" His question caught Bea off guard, leaving her feeling tense and unsure of how to respond.

Surprised at the sudden inquiry, Bea replied, "Why would you ask me that out of the blue?" Uncertainty tinged her voice, making it clear that she was unsure of what to say.

"I don't know. I am just curious about how you feel," Ian answered without even glancing in her direction, his attention firmly fixed on his game.
