Ian's POV
I made the decision to distance myself from the rest of the group and secured a table for my own comfort. The isolation gave me the opportunity to indulge in overflowing amounts of beer, finding relief in each bottle I consumed. However, no amount of alcohol could numb the pain I felt upon witnessing the person I deeply love reveling in the company of someone else after rejecting me.
As I sat at my separate table, I noticed that they too occupied their own area. Bea was accompanied by Josh, the very person she seemed to be enjoying herself with. They, too, indulged in alcohol, their glasses clinking together as they laughed and conversed.
