“So you forgave them?” Alchemist asked me as soon as we returned to the hotel that I had booked near the Amoled city.

I stopped walking and looked at the mage standing behind me.

“Why would you assume that?” I asked.

Alchemist shrugged.

“Well, if you hadn't, I wouldn't see why you would unleash your powers and drain yourself like that even after knowing what is coming for you. You need to be the strongest version of yourself, but by doing this, you use up so much mana," he explained.

I know what he was trying to say. He had the best for me in his mind, but for some reason, after finding out the truth, I just couldn't stand back and watch, having those innocent lives ruined.
