Book 4: A Hunger

I know we shouldn’t be doing this… our bodies flush and my lips grazing his fevered neck. His hybrid heart thunders against my breasts and I’m… trying desperately not to writhe against him, chasing friction I shouldn’t want–shouldn’t need. 

I almost wish he were still wearing a shirt so my fingers had something to grab instead of laying flat against his bare skin. I grip his shoulder, my other hand resting on the back of his neck as I lift my head to press a kiss to his neck, tender and… sweet. 

Now is my chance to back out–to tell him I don’t need this–need him to fulfill this desire for blood but I am hungry. 

Hungry for his touch, the little groan that leaves his lips when I bite down on the crook of his neck, the sound that haunts my dreams. 

He’s on top of me, gathering his arms around me so I can’t move. One of his knees splits my legs apart, his thigh sliding toward my center and putting delicious pressur
