I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been in this cathedral over the course of my short life. The dark stone walls echo even the smallest whisper, and the ancient stained glass sends shadows instead of snowy sunlight into the cavernous space.
I wouldn’t consider vampires a very religious bunch. Some follow the same teachings the shifters do–the Moon Goddess and Her lessons, Her gifts, and whatnot, but not most. Others believe in ancient gods. Some worship the devil.
Maybe back in the history of my family’s time in this castle, my ancestors used to hold services here. Mom occasionally comes to sit quietly and pray in the dusty, shaded pews, but otherwise this place is a skeleton of a time long passed.
